Heavy metals, salts and organic compounds must be removed, as much as possible from waste water streams. Many large filter plants, up to 152m2, have been operating fully automatically, without any problems, for a number of years. However smaller units are successfully operating on clarifying waste water streams, direct from production, and returning the residues back to the process.
