Application: PVC Production

The process waste water from the manufacture of PVC contains small amounts of valuable, recoverable PVC material. It can be returned to the previous step of the process as a thickened suspension or it can be recovered as a dry product. The CONTIBAC® filter is used to produce a concentrated slurry. With the FUNDABAC® either a complete stream or the thickened suspension from the CONTIBAC® can be filtered and the solids discharged as a dry cake.

Photo: A skid mounted plant with two filters: one CONTIBAC® with an area of 47m2 for filtering the complete stream and a subsequent 1m2 FUNDABAC® for the dry discharge of the solids. With this combination the required total area could be reduced by half.
