Various filtration plants for the production of polyols have been supplied to a number of customers. An important property of the FUNDABAC® is the ability to directly filter the salt (less than 1µ) without the use of filter-aid. The filters are designed for heel filtration in order to reduce the loss of product as much as possible. The cake is dried and afterwards reslurried by back-washing with water or discharged dry. More than three dozen plants are in operation worldwide.
