Application: Gas Sweetening, Amine Treatment
Natural and synthesized gases often contain hydrogen sulphide which must be removed. The so-called "gas sweetening" using an amine solution is the most widely-used method. Here the gases are washed in a counter current washing column and the dissolved hydrogen sulphide separated in a later step using steam. Fines, worn from the piping, collect in the amine solution, which ultimately lead to blocking and foam generation in the column. FUNDABAC® filters for clearing these streams and discharging either wet or dry cakes have yielded excellent results.
