Application: Galvanic Plating

The surface treatment of steel sheet, especially in the automotive industry as corrosion protection, has taken on an important roll. As well as hot galvanizing there is also electrolytic zinc and tin plating of steel. In order to guarantee a uniform quality of coating, the electrolytic immersion baths must be clear of collected pollutants. Where possible the solids should be discharged dry, on the one hand in order to reduce loss of electrolytes, and on the other to reduce disposal costs. With the FUNDABAC®, the dry solid contents can be increased to over 70%. Various plants have been installed in large European and Japanese steel manufacturers.
